Sonicbids Helps NXNE Find Emerging Artists

Sonicbids, the leading matchmaking site for bands and music promoters, and —North By Northeast (NXNE) Music Festival and Conference, the leading Canadian festival for unsigned bands, indie favourites, and major-label headlining artists, have partnered to find the best independent artists to perform at the event on June 13-19, 2011. NXNE has chosen Sonicbids as their exclusive online submission platform and 250 slots have been reserved for Sonicbids artists.

What: NXNE draws more than 2,300 industry delegates and 270,000 music fans for celebrity interviews, networking sessions, music-business panels, and nightly showcases. Last year, over 600 international, national and local acts performed at 50 official festival stages in downtown Toronto's famous club district and even more is planned for this year’s event.

With 250 reserved slots for Sonicbids members, NXNE will also be choosing two international artists who will receive $1,000 stipends from Sonicbids to help pay for travel to the event.
