Sonicbids, the website that helps bands discover and book gigs, and the International Songwriting Contest are looking for the best songwriters in music. Whether you're a professional songwriter or just starting out, ISC wants to hear your music. Over $150,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, including a $25,000 cash prize to the 2010 Overall Grand Prize winner. Judges for the contest include artists in all different genres and music industry professionals, from Peter Gabriel and Rihanna to Amanda Ghost, President of Epic Records and Rick Krim, Executive Vice President, Talent & Music Programming at VH1.
What: Called "the songwriting competition to take note of" by the New York Times, ISC is the premier international songwriting competition in the world. ISC offers more categories, the largest cash Grand Prize, more international winners, and has the most prestigious judges of any songwriting competition.

Artists may submit as many songs as desired in each category or enter the same song to more than one category.
Following are interviews with a couple of the ISC judges:
"Creativity always breeds evolution," states judge Darryl McDaniels (D.M.C. of Run D.M.C.). "I'm listening to see all these artists writing songs, lyrics, music and sound that will last forever."

"Once in a while you come across something really promising," says judge Chris Hillman (The Byrds) of his participation.

When: The deadline to submit is October 6, 2010.

Where: Submit your song through Sonicbids here:
