A colleague of mine, Matt Jarram, writes a movie blog and we have spoken a few times about music in film, and which are the all-time best movie soundtracks.
Personally, I have to say Spawn's soundtrack was an absolute blinder - although the movie itself stank.
It basically saw dance acts teamed up with rock bands - with combinations such as Roni Size and Henry Rollins, Marilyn Manson and Sneaker Pimps, and Slayer and Atari Teenage Riot.
Which soundtracks stand out for you?

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Nothing better than The Soggy Bottom Boys.

Two spring to mind on this one actually.
One of which being the sublime Badly Drawn Boy - About A Boy film soundtrack which is just lovely.
But one of the best in my opinion ever was of a film that was absolutely dire!
Last Action Hero. AC/DC, Cypress Hill, Queensryche, Megadeth.

A great album growing up with all the top bands of the time.

I think Ray Parker Jr was when he wrote it. As were the entire board of the record company that allowed it to be recorded. The whole thing was just the result of a very messy christmas party at Arista Records (props to Wikipedia there).

I often wonder if that is true. It's phenomenally silly. It may just be one of those tracks which we are all led to believe is magnificent but is, in fact, not.
