Saw a fantastic article here about the top ten moustaches of rock.

In my (bearded) opinion, you can't beat a bit of facial hair when it comes to rock bands, although the list is missing a few classic facial growths - Jesse Hughes of Eagles Of Death Metal, Motorhead's Lemmy, Ron Mael of Sparks and of course ZZ Top, apart from Frank Beard of course.

What do you think - is anyone missing? Or do you prefer your rockers clean shaven?

I used to love this group, who just petered out a few years back after I told everyone they were going to be the next big thing...

They used to share a house with The Klaxons, who won the Mercury Prize, if I remember correctly.

Anyhoo, someone tweeted about them, it all came flooding back and I had to dig something out.

Apparently metal overlords and hobgoblin botherers Led Zeppelin played the mighty Whitwick Working Men's Club in 1969.

Anyone know anything about it - it must have been an amazing experience!

I'm going to put a thing in the Echo asking for anyone who knows about it to call in.

Also, anyone else know of any unlikely acts coming to the Loughborough area?

PS This video isn't in Whitwick.

Irish instrumental post-rock/metal band, saw these guys live with Clutch last month and they were awesome. I wasn't expecting much from the support as Clutch were the main reason I went but I was really surprised by these guys. They've just released their self-titled debut album and I highly recommend it.

The psychedelic feel of a song or of course sound is something that's been creeping back into music for a few months now, a lot of bands that I've heard are quite into it at the minute.

I think it's good. They're usually quite relaxed and chilled despite having the rock vibe to it also.

A man in Ohio claims he has listened to the latest Judas Priest album every day for an entire year.

A local radio station has been tracking the man's streak since one month after the album Nostradamus was released in June 2008.

The 49-year-old man says he always hears something new when he listens to the album.

Judas Priest performed in Cleveland recently and released a statement thanking the man for his support and reportedly met with him after the show as well.
