Saw a fantastic article here about the top ten moustaches of rock.

In my (bearded) opinion, you can't beat a bit of facial hair when it comes to rock bands, although the list is missing a few classic facial growths - Jesse Hughes of Eagles Of Death Metal, Motorhead's Lemmy, Ron Mael of Sparks and of course ZZ Top, apart from Frank Beard of course.

What do you think - is anyone missing? Or do you prefer your rockers clean shaven?

Inner Frequency finished in the top 20 of the southwestern region based on online votes and was then selected as one of the top 4 from the region by judges from Land Shark Lager and Rhapsody. They traveled to Austin on October 9 for a live video taping on the stages at KLRU studios where Austin City Limits is filmed. The tune "Satellite," from their most recent CD Surge which was released earlier this year, can be viewed on the voting site at www.landsharkrocks.com.

Whilst reading around for some Hallowe'en music inspiration, I read a recommendation by Battles' Tyondai Braxton about this freaky little composer, Gerard Grisey.

His work is the basis of spectralism, which is a branch of composition which less music, more sound evolving through time...

It's unsettling stuff.

However some of them deserve a mention, so here you are, Purple PR.

Guitar wizard Newton Faulkner's new album, Rebuilt By Humans, is out now, and worth a listen.
